Neato XV-11 All Floor Robotic Vacuum System Review by Katherine Thompson

My Overall Rating:

Available on Amazon for $399.00

Smart, powerful, and innovative, The Neato VX 11-All Floor Robotic Vacuum System is one of the latest robot cleaning systems on the market. But is it the right model for you? We’ll look at this product in detail, and we’ll compare it to its competitor, the iRobot Roomba 560.

If you’re interested in the best pricing on the Neato XV-11 All Floor Robotic Vacuum System, I think you’ll find it at Amazon. Click here to see their latest pricing.

The Neato XV-11 All Floor Robotic Vacuum System is a small and automated robot vacuum cleaner. You simply push the big “start” button and it does the rest. It effectively maps out the room and cleans it without overlapping the same spots over and over. It has brushes, an air filter and a dust bin that you need to clean out when it gets full.

This robot cleans all floor types, and uses magnetic strips to detect boundaries. You lay down the strip and it won’t cross over the line. This helps you outline your cleaning area. It’s simply to lay down the strip when starting a cleaning cycle.

Here is a display of what we feel are the best Robotic Vacuum on the market right now. Click on any product for more details.

TIP: Make sure you look at all of the various robotic vacuums and read user feedback. The bestsellers are a great place to start looking. This vacuum is ONE bestseller. But if you’d rather see a whole list click here instead

Let’s take a good look at the robotic vacuum system’s features:

  • Powerful XV-11 saves you time by automatically vacuuming your entire floor–even deep into corners and under furniture
  • Laser-based Room Positioning System sees everything in the room, avoids bumping into walls and furniture
  • High performance vacuum removes all kinds of dirt and cleans all floors–carpets, rugs, hardwood, laminates, tile, and stone
  • Schedule automatic cleanings while you’re away via simple user interface
  • Automatically returns to charging base when vacuuming is concluded

Surely, the Neato XV-11 All Floor Robotic Vacuum System sounds good. But is it really ideal for you? Let’s have a closer look at some pros and cons.

To determine if this is the right model for you let’s consider …

Pros:
  • Uses simple magnetic strips to define borders. These are cheap and easy to lay down on your floor for cleaning.
  • The LCD screen gives you more information than competing models that have no such screen
  • The square shaped front end means it can vacuum in corners better than round models (iRobot), which rely on a brush to push dirt out of corners (instead of vaccuming deep into the corner).
  • This robot stays VERY clean by itself, as very little pet hair gets stuck in the brushes and bearings.
Cons:
  • The brushes are rubber, so they don’t deal with pet hair as well as the bristles that the Roomba robots use (iRobot makes Roomba models).
  • The cleaning pattern it uses tends to cover areas only once. This makes it faster to clean a room (nice), but less thorough than iRobot Roomba models that tend to cover areas several times during a cleaning

Let me show you what the current owner have to say about it:

Custom review from Jean C.,

This is automated cleaning at its best. The vacuum is so powerful and it won’t let my pet hair get stuck in the brush. It’s safe on walls and furniture.

Conclusion:
Most customers were pleased with either the XV-11 or the Roomba 560 by iRobot. If which should you buy? If you have a lot of pet hair the Roomba will do a better job cleaning it, but you’ll need to clean the brushes often. If you don’t have a lot of pet hair and you don’t mind putting down the magnetic tape when you want to start a cleaning cycle (easy to do), then the XV-11 by Neato is probably a better choice.

Evolution Robotics Mint Automatic Hard Floor Cleaner, 4200 Review by Katherine Thompson

My Overall Rating:

Available on Amazon for $199.99

Most robotic vacuums focus on the vacuuming process. The Evolution Mint Cleaner is more like a floor washer. It is probably best compared to the iRobot Scooba floor washer, but it’s a lower cost product.

If you’re interested in the best pricing on the Evolution Robotics Mint Cleaner, I suggest looking at Amazon for the best price and tons of user feedback.Click here to see their latest pricing.

The Evolution Robotics Mint Cleaner 4200 picks up all dirt from the floor including dust, hair stands, etc using its microfiber cleaning cloths. With the cleaner’s special mopping motion using pre-moistened disposable cleaning cloth, it takes off deeper grime from your floor, leaving your floor as clean as if you had physically mopped it using a moist cloth.

The Mint Cleaner avoids carpets, rugs, and drop-offs, which would obviously not be very good for you, the robot cleaner, or the cleaning cloths.

The Mint Cleaner is essentially a two-step cleaning robot whereas the iRobot Scooba is a 4 step active cleaning and scrubbing machine. From a pros and cons perspective, the Scooba requires more active maintenance, but probably does a better job on very dirty floors. The Mint Cleaner only requires cleaning cloths to be changed, and micro-fiber cloths can be re-used. I would recommend the Mint Cleaner for homes with less dirt, for people who just really want to have that spotless look without much hassle.

TIP: Make sure you look at all of the various robotic vacuums and read user feedback. The bestsellers are a great place to start looking. This vacuum is ONE bestseller. But if you’d rather see a whole list click here instead

Let’s have a quick look at the Mint Automatic Hard Floor Cleaner’s features:

  • Compact robot vacuum cleans up to 3 hours on single charge using microfiber cloths or most brands of disposable cloths such as Swiffer cloths.
  • Guided by North Star Navigation System to methodically clean open areas, around furniture and rugs, and along room perimeter
  • Whisper-quiet operation; turns itself off when finished
  • Low maintenance with no bins to empty or filters to change
  • Measures 9.6 inches wide by 8.5 inches deep by 3.1 inches high; 1-year warranty

If you would like to buy the Evolution Robotics Mint Automatic Hard Floor Cleaner 4200, the lowest price is available at Amazon through this link.

Proven to be efficient as it works longer than the usual automatic cleaner, the Evolution Robotics Mint Automatic Hard Floor Cleaner, 4200 is definitely a must-have in every household.

However, you might want to check its pros and cons to determine if you are making a right decision of buying this vacuum cleaner.

Pros:
  • Comes with microfiber, dry and pre-moistened cleaning cloth that cleans most dirt and even the smallest dust
  • With no bins to empty or dusty filters to change
  • Can clean larger rooms in one routine because of longer battery life
Cons:
  • Requires disposable moist cloths for the second stage of cleaning, so you’ll always have to spend a bit of money to keep it running. That said, you don’t need to do any maintenance instead, such as brush cleaning.
  • It’s only useful on flat hard floors. You can’t use it on carpet, or any other high-friction floor such as cork (not that you’d want to).
  • It is square in shape, so there is a slightly higher chance it gets stuck in small spaces. This is because, unlike iRobot models, which are circular, it cannot turn in place. User tests show that getting stuck is not a common problem.
  • Let me show you what one current owner has to say:

    Customer review from K. Mckenney,

I must say the Mint’s mapping system is very remarkable as it figured out the complex layout of my huge living room and doesn’t miss a single area in cleaning unlike my Neato and Roomba that did awfully. The cloths are of big help to as it makes my floor squeaky clean and the battery life is very good.
